1. Introduction

Welcome to Journetta – a cloud-based platform for promoting clarity, mental strength, and personal development.

Through structured journaling, goal tracking, and AI-powered reflection, Journetta helps you build healthy routines and grow consciously.

These General Terms and Conditions ("GTC") govern the use of our service. By accessing or using Journetta, you accept these terms as binding.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By clicking "I agree" or using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these GTC.

These GTC constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Journetta.

You will be notified of any changes to the GTC in a timely manner. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation: A user account is required to use Journetta. All information provided must be accurate and complete.

Security: You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Enable two-factor authentication if available and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Recovery: We will assist you in recovering your account, but cannot guarantee this in all cases.

Usage: Your account is non-transferable. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts in case of violations of these GTC.

4. Payment Terms

Prices: Journetta offers a 14-day free basic version as well as paid subscriptions ("Plus" and "Pro"). Current prices can be found on our website. Billing is monthly via www.stripe.com.

Cancellation: Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time in the user profile or by contacting support. Payments already made are non-refundable. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Price Adjustments: We reserve the right to adjust prices. You will be informed of changes in advance.

5. Intellectual Property

All rights to software, design, texts, graphics, and trademarks of Journetta remain with us or our licensors.

Content you create via Journetta remains your intellectual property.

6. Confidentiality & Data Protection

Personal data and content are stored encrypted so that neither third parties nor the Journetta team have access.

For AI-powered features, only relevant, unencrypted data is processed – this happens exclusively with your active consent (e.g., via opt-in in your profile).

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your user account completely at any time.

Upon deletion, all associated data – including personal content – will be permanently and irreversibly deleted.

Recovery is not possible.

8. Disclaimer

Journetta is provided "as is" and "as available".

We do not guarantee permanent availability, error-free operation, or suitability of the service for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

Journetta is not liable for indirect or consequential damages resulting from the use or unavailability of the service – unless required by law.

10. Applicable Law

These GTC are subject to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The place of jurisdiction, as far as legally permissible, is Berlin.

11. Final Provisions

Severability: If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.

Entire Agreement: These GTC constitute the entire agreement between you and Journetta.

Assignment: You may not transfer rights under these GTC without our consent. We may assign rights and obligations as part of a company transfer.

Force Majeure: We are not liable for events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, technical failures).
